The realtor has asked for a 00 check and a pre-approval letter. Then we're supposed to put down a written offer and sign the contract. What else is invovled? What contingencies should we have? I don't feel so comfortable asking the realtor.
Thanks for all your replies. We're looking for the home in the northern NJ area and want to know what is a good offer to put on the home (townhouse). If the townhouse is listed at 500K, what is a good offer to put on it (5% less, 10%, less). We don't want to low ball it too more or high ball it. I guess we are expecting a counteroffer but don't want the seller to rejec the offer completely either.
